"Monster Island's Santa" (怪獣島のサンタさん TBA) is the 52nd episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 39th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on December 25, 2024.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Minilla sing "Jingle Bells" together before Chibi Godzilla turns around and tells Chibi Mechagodzilla that it's almost Christmas. Chibi Mechagodzilla is surprised to learn that there's Christmas on Monster Island and notes that humans eat turkey too just like the monsters do, though he angrily corrects Chibi Godzilla when he says humans swallow their turkey whole. Chibi Mechagodzilla teaches them about Santa Claus, who Chibi Godzilla calls a "suspicious person" due to being a stranger that gives gifts to children. Chibi Mechagodzilla says he isn't and adds that Santa comes through the chimney at night, calling Chibi Godzilla to call Santa a thief. Chibi Mechagodzilla gives up, and Chibi Minilla says she's never heard of Santa and wonders why he doesn't come to Monster Island.
Some time later, Chibi Minilla sits on the floor at home when Santa Claus comes up behind her and scares her before introducing himself and wishing her a Merry Christmas. Chibi Minilla asks if Santa is short for "Merry Christmas" before asking how he even got inside due to her house not having a chimney. Santa says he's the type of Santa that's always there, but Chibi Minilla wonders if he's Chibi Godzilla in disguise. Santa suddenly gifts her a ¥1500 note, and when she asks for something more "dreamy" he gives her a choice between an autograph from a celebrity, boxing gloves, and a picture frame. Santa then gives her all of it at once instead, stored in one of her father's socks, which he notes Santa normally does. Santa then points out an "amphibious" reindeer wearing scuba gear, which Santa traditionally rides. Santa then leaves, and Chibi Minilla again wonders if he was Chibi Godzilla before he appears behind her and asks why she's talking to herself. Chibi Minilla realizes that if Chibi Godzilla was inside the whole time, Santa really did come. Chibi Godzilla then gifts her Santa's amphibious reindeer.
