As the Nightmare Children woke the Great Old One, their leader, Kurt Metzger, expanded his sacrifice to include the entire city of Boston. After Cthulhu's defeat at the hands of Godzilla, Metzger pleaded to Azathoth for forgiveness, only to be greeted by Tsathoggua manifesting behind him, who states that Azathoth is neither merciful nor forgiving before hanging Metzger with a belt for his failure.
