@Heisei Anguirus I may be the most knowledged in Prehistory, but I'm still gonna need a caoch for this challenge when the time comes and I don't trust my friends with Paleontology since I end up corrscting them. Any ideas on a good coach that uses Wikizilla often?

@Baekunater99 While my viewings of numerous dinosaur documentaries, readings of paleo-books, and browsing Wikipedia articles has made me incredibly Dinosaur and Paleontology-pilled, it would be EXTREMELY unfair if the host was actively helping a contestant. I would recommend going with either @JohnGojira or @Keeri'ijra as your coach.

Yeah that makes sense. Ill talk to Keeri and JohnGoji to see who knows more about the Cenezoic, since i dont know much about it despite living in it (The Holocene counts as the Cenezoic Era)

@Baekunater99 Yeah, I just wanted to mention how much I love dinosaur names like Aublysodon, Agathaumas, Epanterias, Antrodemus, Dynamosaurus, and Saurophagonax despite all these genera being now considered dubious due to how awesome they sound.

@Baekunater99 Allosaurus anax was created for the Allosaur remains, the remaining vertebrae are considered dubious and undiagnostic but are tentatively attributed to a Diplodocid.

I mentioned previously how I had an idea about incorporating some cryptids into my novel universe Galaxia. The primary ideas would be incorporating The Partridge Creek Monster and Mokele-Mbembe into one of the series. While this is till in its brainstorming phase, an idea I've thought about is finding a way to have them fight.

That would be very cool to see. Maybe there could be another battle with Mothman (who could look like a sized up moth with a six pack) fighting a Wendigo and Skinwalker?

@Baekunater99 Granted cryptids are only a small part of this universe, meaning I don't know if Mothman will be incorporated. I do have an idea where there's a villain Chupacabra that's an interdimensional Alien-demon that fights the main crew of that book.

Ok now that sounds cool. Goat Sucker/Alien/Demon villain is a confusing tk think about but really nice backstory for a character

@Baekunater99 Thanks! The reason he's/its an alien is because the design would be based off of the Puerto Rican Chupacabra (which looks super alien, holy). He/it would also be a sentient villain, being consciously drinking the blood of various creatures to gain power and keep his existence in our universe. He isn't the primary antagonist of the story, though.

I mean hes still an antagonist which is cool enough. And lets say I do end up making a Cryptid based card game (ive got the basic rules and card stats figured out already). If you want, I could try to add him/it into the game if you like how the game plays. But again, its up to you once i finish the basic rules and put them on my userpage (ill have to make the Godzilla TCG section collapsable first)

@Baekunater99 That sounds good to me. However, there are two temporary issues: A. He doesn't debut in Galaxia until much later than what I'm currently writing B. I don't have artwork of him yet, both of these are entirely temporary though (particularly the art issue, which I cam remedy much quicker than getting a book out that's not planned for the near future).

@Heisei Anguirus That is entirely fine. I just got done with the basic rules, so I can't even confirm all the Cryptids I want, or even what I want the cards to look like. I will, however, be letting the community create their own Cryptid to go in the game. (I made a special typing for this too, which also includes what are essentially more beefier and terrifying versions of existing cryptids)

@Baekunater99 It's funny how my Chupacabra falls under both of these (since he's a community submission as well as a beefed up existing cryptid).

@Baekunater99 That also sounds cool that people can make cryptids for the game! In that case, I’ll start planning one out to offer as a submission if you like.

@Heisei Anguirus and @JohnGojira I've got all the stuff in, but when i tried getting it to be collapsable it just spits out as {{{1}}}. Yet if you go to look at it in the editor, you see everything. And the collapse button works fine for the Godzilla card section. Do you guys know whats wrong because this is my first time trying this and i put the exact same way for both sections.

@Heisei Anguirus It's a cryptid, is it not. If you dont want him to be your submission he doesnt have to be. You can always change your mind. Im not harsh with opinions, unlike SOME people (MEC.Godzilla...)

Responding to MrPenguin. I absolutely LOVE the fearsome critters, they are the outcome of drunk lumberjacks telling stories in the best way possible. They're all just so weird and wacky I love them all <3

@URADCY the Hide-Behind is a lumberjack folklore creature that can never be seen, and it eats drunk people. You know they weren't drunk when that one was thought of

Also for future reference, the definition of "cryptid" is a little loose for this game. Im counting normal Cryptids (Nessie, Bigfoot, Skinwalker), Folklore cryptids (Lumberjack folklores, Whitey the White River Monster, Bunyip), local legendeary and mythical creatures (Fouk Monster, Ahool), and the Illuminati just to name a few.

@Baekunater99 Alright, my submission is Rey Chupacabra del Infierno literally translating to "King Goat Sucker from Hell". I'm not certain what else to include, since I've never been involved with these before.

Also I was uncertain if he was gonna be the regular Chupacabra or a submission.

Depends. If his design is too similar to the Chupacabra, I might need a better way to differentiate the two. But if his design is a little more distinctive, then he could count as a submission. Heck, you could give him an ability that Chupacabras dont have to make it easier to deiffrrentiate

@Baekunater99 I was already considering giving him darkness powers previously, so that works. His design also has different features such as gigantic spikes on top his head which form a crown, enormous bat wings, and a whip-like tail.

Ok i think thats good enough to differentiate him, so if thats your submission ill write it down somewhere and get it statted out whenever i make the card layout

@Baekunater99 Rey Chupacabra del Infierno (often shortened as Cabrarey) is as stated before being from an alternate universe (so if he wasn't a submission he would fall under eldritch). He is the king/overlord of all Chupacabras, being the one that sent them out. He has been sighted in Puerto Rico, Kamchatka Russia, Yucatan Mexico, and Nov Scotia Canada, although other encounters are unwritten due to the people who encountered him not living to tell the tale.

Also his signature ability, "Antumbra Burst" would be his primary attack.

@Heisei Anguirus Cabrarey is in the list, awaiting to be made.

@Baekunater99 Epic. My artwork for Cabrarey is currently being worked on, and yes, I'm quite a bit further through than I mentioned before.

Very sorry for the delay, here is my cryptid!

The Bear Croc was known from the Caribbean Islands, with tourists who managed to spot this creature thinking it to be a mix of a bear and a crocodile for its build and scales. Some think it has hair and/or quill-like osteoderms, but these features were likely exaggerations based on poor visibility of the animal. Modern researchers suspect, based on the locality, that is could be a late-surviving Sebecid, further evidencing a lack of hair or quills.

Let's be honest, we all have a favorite wall person. Don't even lie. I'm going to say that Gerald is my favorite wall person. He's real quiet. Doesn't make much sound at all, except when you forget to feed him. Then he starts making soft creaking sounds.

I used to have a wall person called Creemblo, don't worry he didn't die, he just moved to living under my floor boards. While mostly chill he's a extremely picky eater, he's also proud of his rat collection.

@URaDCY reminds me of one of my other Wall People, Echk. He has a large Sewage Mold collection (?) and brags about it to the others. He doesnt make much sound either, but does demand a lot more food for some reason (specifically copper screws)
